Melanie J. Bingham obtained her B.A. degree with double majors in Spanish and Political Science from Amherst College in 1987 and won the Pedro Grases Prize for Excellence in Spanish. She obtained her J.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1992. Following law school, Ms. Bingham clerked for the Honorable David W. Williams of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. After her clerkship, Ms. Bingham practiced business and commercial litigation and real estate law as an associate at several law firms and as a sole practitioner. She is a member of the Bar of the State of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
